What? and the Question Why?!
Written by Lifecoach Brodie
"Why do you think we are here on Earth?"
I was asked this question in an interview yesterday and found myself remembering back to a time in my life when I used to ask this question a lot. I remember the confusion and complexity that this question used to evoke for me. This very question had the power to send me spinning into a void of uncertainty! I was anxious to give purpose & meaning to my life and WITHOUT AN ANSWER, I felt lost.
I heard a great quote recently, "Find a happy person and you will find a project."
Where a 'why' question can sometimes tend to send us spinning into confused tunnels of thought and anxiety, 'what' questions have the power to open a place to explore definable, specific, present-moment reality. With a great answer to a 'what' question, we are sure to find happiness.
Try this simple exercise (ask a why and what question along similar lines) How does 'what' impact you? How do you feel when you ask yourself the 'why'? Notice the difference. I encourage you to spend a few moments journeling or contemplating the presence of 'why' and what' in your life & how they impact you.
Shakin' things up with a good 'why' question once in a while is sometimes just what we need to make sure we are truly acting 'on purpose'.
To answer the original question, I believe we are here for many, many reasons - the main one being - to live what we love and to love what we live. Begin there and your life will be a masterpiece.

Questions play a major role in determining our focus. And since purpose is largely a result of what we do, there is wisdom in simply acting in accordance with what we love & want. By acting this way, we automatically align our life with our purpose.
Our purpose or destiny is what we choose to live ...what we are choosing to focus on now. The world is at our fingertips, and the possibilities are limitless.

~ Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers. ~ Anthony Robbins

Thanks Brodeman,
I think the question is a blessing, though only when coupled with an open mind.
