Focused On What You Want ... OR NOT?

Are you focused on what you want OR what you don't want? Are you moving toward your goal OR trying to get away from a part of you that you don't want anymore?
Have you ever been chased by someone and noticed how hard it is to get away from them? You're always looking back and it seems that they just keep getting closer and closer!
Have you ever been chasing someone and noticed how easy it is to focus-in on them and catch them?
On one hand, you are trying to GET AWAY, while on the other hand, you know what you want and you are GOING FOR IT!
Which way are you living? If there is something you have been wishing you could change, what is it? Are you resisting this old habit or pattern? Or are you focused on what you are moving toward?
It is soooooooo much easier to know what you want and to GO FOR IT than it is to try and get away from what you don't want.

Do you know anyone graduating from high school, university or college this year?
When you think of them now, are they fully prepared to take on the world in their own unique and passionate way?
Do they know what they want and how they are going to achieve exactly that?
Or are they confused about who they are, and what they want?
Are they overwhelmed by the pressure of the critical decisions that they MUST make at this time in their life?
If you know someone or if you are that someone who is about to graduate and who is confused and feeling pressured by this transition into your future, it's time to:
- either bite the bullet and submit to what everyone tells you you 'should' do
- OR take a stand for who you really are and what you really want!
Working intimately with youth, I get to experience, first-hand, the world that most of today's youth look out and see.
- Many youth have given up altogether on making any kind of a difference in their world. They look out and see an authoritative governmental system that is completely out of sync with their generation's values, a world at war, and a culture that is setting itself up to self-destruct at any moment.
- They are bombarded with shallow, and even degrading media that disempowers them and keeps them stuck in feelings of disillusionment with themselves and with society.
- They don't have the necessary role models and mentors to help them to believe in themselves and each other.
- They are surrounded by busy adults who don't have the time to help them achieve their dreams or even understand what those dreams are.
It's time for all of this to change!
Today's youth hold the key to our future, and it's past time that we start listening to them and believing in them. It's time we as adults begin to take responsibility as caretakers of their future (and our future) by empowering and encouraging them to take a stand and make the difference they have individually come here to make!
As my part in this movement for change and empowering our youth, I am choosing to take a stand. I have been busy creating a powerful program that is designed specifically to get youth thinking bigger for themselves and their world ... believing in who they really are and what they really want.
This program is called Passion Quest, and it is going to rock the foundation of how youth view themselves, and how they are viewed by society!
Passion Quest is a 90-day experiential adventure that is designed specifically to help youth grads
- pinpoint their passion(s)
- align their life with living out their most fulfilling purpose
- create what they've always dreamed of but never really thought was actually possible
- become revolutionary leaders for the future!
- Connect with empowered youth leaders around the world
I have designed Passion Quest to engage today's generation of youth on a quest of self-discovery and empowerment. There's tons of self-help material available for adults, but when I research self-discovery for youth, my findings come up just short of zilch!
The key, I believe, is that there is no one who has forged ahead and created an experience that actually speaks to our youth, in their language, and in their way. They don't want to sit around 'Om'ing or meditating for hours on end. They want to be engaged, and they want to be social, and noticed for who they are as creative, and unique individuals. They want to believe in their world and in themselves and Passion Quest is designed to do just that and more!
It's time to start listening to our youth, and empowering them to be who they really are, and not just who we think we want them to be.
Graduation is fast approaching, and so I am aiming all efforts toward creating the first 'Passion Quest Tribe'! If you know anyone whom you feel could benefit from this experience, it's time to get a move on. Give them a grad gift that makes a real difference in their future ... sign 'em up for the tribe!
